Within Time

Giclée print

Dimensions variable, 2018-2019

The artist constructs a non-linear mode of viewing through continuous shooting and image overlay. Each photograph is not a frozen moment, but rather a sediment of multiple, compressed instances in time. These images become not only the traces of time’s passage, but also records of the act of watching itself.

Spaces are illuminated at different times, layered into a presence that no single moment could capture. As a result, the images carry a texture of blur, flow, and translucence—like a breath between memory and reality. Though seemingly still, they ripple with the tension of time: light, continuous, repetitive, and irreversible. In these residual images, the artist asks: if time cannot be directly seen, how might we perceive it through what it leaves behind. And in these echoes of time, do we also glimpse our own relation to the everyday.
