Your Words in Between I/II

Your Words in Between I
Stockings, copper wire, 40 × 40 × 30 cm; 30 × 30 × 30cm, 2025
The artist received a cloth bundle left behind after her grandmother’s passing. Inside were stacks of discarded fabrics—old family garments worn thin or outgrown, torn by her grandmother into neat pieces for future reuse. The gathering of these fragments is also a gathering of her life’s trajectory and time.
In this work, the artist stitches nylon stockings into a soft bundle using copper wire. Through minimal gestures of stitching, the artist weaves a kind of language—what lies in between words: at once accumulation and rupture, they are traces of women, migrants, and marginalized individuals whose histories have been repeatedly overwritten, obscured, and re-emerge again.
